The world is moving faster and there is more stress for all of us. It's harder to get into good schools and many people are afraid. Does this mean that we should plug our children into the TV, abandon them to nannies, and let them bob on the waves of an out-of-control school system? Not on your life.

test

Saturday, February 07, 2004

Going to start working on questionnaires to determine whether or not you "need" slow parenting.

For Parents-to-Be:
Are you playing Beethoven and Shakespeare to your infant in the womb?
Have you bought any of those black and white and red flashcards for the crib?

For New Parents:
Do you ever wonder if your child is falling behind because of something that you're doing or not doing?
Are you worried about "spoiling" your three month old?
Are you trying to train a 6 month old to do much of anything?

For Parents of 1 year olds
Do you ever wonder if your child is falling behind because of something that you're doing or not doing?
Do you ever worry that you don't read to your child enough?
Do you ever worry that.... oh sheesh, the list goes on and on.

These lists can be easily substantiated from articles and also from stories. There is some pretty incredible stuff going on out there. Watch OUT! Some two year old may be edging your child out of the boardroom!
